Jody in Real Estate: Jody Akerman’s friends and family all agree: real estate is something she was truly meant to do! Her inquisitive and compassionate nature coupled with a firm commitment to outstanding customer service and a passion for building solid relationships with clients makes her one-of- a-kind. She was born and raised in Puyallup. Washington, where her family has been rooted for over 5 generations. She and her husband Chris loved Puyallup so much, they decided to move back to her hometown as adults to start a family in one of the best cities and school districts in Washington state. It wasn’t until experiencing the process of buying and selling her own home several times that she realized it was something she was truly passionate about. She learned that she enjoyed the adventure of hunting for the perfect house (and believe me, she was picky!), the thrill of networking, marketing, and communicating with people, and the fast-paced closing process. She also began to recognize the type of agent clients love to work with in one of the biggest purchases of their lives. That type of person is Jody! Armed with an ambitious drive, endless creativity and marketing savvy, Jody knows what it takes to get the job done. She does so with flair, but always with honesty and integrity. Jody at Home: A talented and professional musician, Jody loves to entertain audiences on stage with her solo band “Jody Ellen” and cover band “Soulfunktion.” She enjoys songwriting, singing, playing piano and fronting both bands on stages up and down the West Coast. Aside from her love of music, she loves to entertain guests at her Crystal Ridge home, enjoys karaoking with friends, and likes to plan outings and events.
